Works in Grey

Painting/sculpture series, "Works in Grey" in Pomona arts district Asylum gallery. This body of work was developed after my "Works in Orange" series. I was transitioning away from a divorce and the pieces dealt with concepts of companionship, loyalty and love.

I was also working on several concepts building out from the painting plane, and storytelling from the canvas sides. Several pieces sold from the show (Love Crater & Faith on Grey - private sale).

Shaped pieces were formed using strips of maple doorskin which were uniquely cut to size. Many coats of epoxy enamel created the smooth/glossy surface.
