Live Well Ride — A Personal Journey

In 2011, I signed up for my first endurance event—the AIDS LifeCycle, a 545-mile, seven-day bike ride from San Francisco to Los Angeles—at the suggestion of a friend who would later become my wife. Participation required fundraising for the charity, so I turned to blogging as a tool to engage supporters and maintain momentum. I developed a personal brand, Live Well Ride, to promote the cause and help reach fundraising goals.

What began as a fundraising platform evolved into a lifestyle and community engagement project. Immersed in the cycling community, I formed lasting friendships and grew more passionate about both the sport and supporting others. To show appreciation for donors, I created custom incentive gifts—from silk-screened t-shirts and ramekin succulent planters to stickers and wine glasses—taking a holistic approach to building meaningful connections.

The philosophy behind Live Well Ride is simple: you donate, we all win—a celebration of giving, community, and shared achievement.
