Let Your Light Shine Project

Creative brief here.

The Godchicks conference projects are always highly challenging. Working with unique obstacles and situations that created interesting ways of solving problems for me and the team. This year's project involved offsite construction, material reclamation and a small budget.

We decided to use the same materials and props from Godchicks 2009 (The storefronts and wood material). The two storefronts were rebuilt/revised and painted with event theme color. Dimensional chandeliers were made from sheets of foamcore in mass quantity and hung clustered in a 80 foot hallway space.

An outside tent structure was constructed using reclaimed wood. A serial plane tree-trunk was designed to hold the weight of a coroplast roof with a painted topographic silhouette tree shade. The opening video sequence of the conference featured a girl swinging from a tree trunk - I wanted to use these visuals throughout the environment (Swing from storefront, tree trunk silhouette).
