Let Your Light Shine Project

Creative brief here.

The Godchicks Conference projects have always been highly challenging, often presenting unique obstacles that push our team to find creative and unconventional solutions. This year’s project was no exception, involving offsite construction, material reclamation, and the constraints of a small budget.

To maximize resources, we repurposed materials and props from Godchicks 2009, including the storefronts and wood elements. The two storefronts were rebuilt, refined, and repainted in the event’s theme colors, while dimensional chandeliers—crafted from foamcore sheets—were produced in large quantities and suspended in clusters along an 80-foot hallway.

Outside, we constructed a tent structure using reclaimed wood. A sculptural, serial-plane tree trunk was designed to support a coroplast roof, featuring a painted topographic tree canopy that cast a striking shadow. These visuals tied into the opening video sequence, which featured a girl swinging from a tree branch—a motif we echoed throughout the environment with elements like a swing suspended from a storefront and the recurring tree trunk silhouette
